Amy Poehler – Yes Please Quote

I am currently reading Amy Poehler’s new book “Yes Please”. I love the savvy advice :

“When someone is being rude to you … call them out on it … act like they are an actor who has forgotten what part they are playing”

The Paradise Theatre – A Toronto Landmark

With all the construction happening right now, I thought I would take the time to document some of the changes here on Bloor Street.  For the past few years, the fate of the Paradise Theatre (1008 Bloor St W) has been up in the air despite its heritage status. Thankfully the new owners do not want to tear it down, and plan to restore it. As you can see from the photo this theatre has certainly seen better days. Since it is the main thing that we see when looking out our window, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for this location. The original old sign above the marquee is stunning – here’s hoping they can recreate that part of it.
