#nowplaying spooky must haves: “Death of a Disco Dancer” and “My Wife and My Dead Wife” . Happy Halloween everyone. Open till 8pm as usual tonight.

With all the construction happening right now, I thought I would take the time to document some of the changes here on Bloor Street. For the past few years, the fate of the Paradise Theatre (1008 Bloor St W) has been up in the air despite its heritage status. Thankfully the new owners do not want to tear it down, and plan to restore it. As you can see from the photo this theatre has certainly seen better days. Since it is the main thing that we see when looking out our window, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for this location. The original old sign above the marquee is stunning – here’s hoping they can recreate that part of it.

Hope everyone is staying warm and safe during these extreme weather conditions. Zoinks will be open until 7:00 pm everyday – except Sunday. See the sidebar if that didn’t make any sense.
